Of course the damage per hit is different on a scout rifle and an auto rifle. Apples also taste different from oranges. But auto rifles dole out the damage much faster. The average is going to be close to the same. Auto rifles are perfectly viable for all types of activity, if you know what you're doing with them. You can't use them at scout rifle ranges. That's why I have Ice Breaker as my secondary in PvE. I used the Abyss for this week's Nightfall and tore through the Fallen. Any that showed their faces died quickly and horribly. In PvP you need to use cover and not get picked off by longer range weapons, then get your shots in accurately and get as many to the head as you can. That's why I love Monte Carlo and Hard Light- max the stability, get up close, surprise your enemy, and pour it on. Suros works as well, at a slightly longer range. I used mine in Iron Banner with fine results. The fault, dear Hoagie, is not with your rifle, but with your self.

You, sir, are incorrect. I have been using ARs correctly. And, yes, I have, by now, realized my original comparison between AR and Scout to be erroneous, despite the 65 point (approximately 4-6 level) difference. However, I know for ARs. The evidence is ever-staggeringly against your point. I've seen, in personal experience, using an AR (even within shotgun range) doles the most minute damage possible, leaving the AR user vulnerable to a quick death from literally ANY other weapon the opponent could possibly be using. Frankly, auto rifles are all but useless in PvP sans hacking. Regarding PvE, they deal so little damage that, by the time you've reloaded the gun, the enemy's shields have come back up. Further, it absolutely should not take 75-100% of a mag to kill a single enemy. And, most of the ARs I've seen have been high-fire-rate-low-impact (HFRLI). Granted, the low impact AUTOMATICALLY means low dam/hit. However, there should be more med-impact-slow-fire-rate rifles in rotation. Of the last 10 Legendary ARs I've picked up, ALL have been HFRLI. It's simply not a matter of "git gud" as you would so blithely imply. Good day.

No problems with mine, smh for a little inconvenience. It does do well; you guys need to really keep moving through cover what. Players are ineffective in using them, so they blame the weapon instead of themselves; sad. These still have the potential the held before; just nobody wants to even try anymore. I hoped people would get it, but they lack the knowledge to truly understand what it takes to use them now.

  • There is no "lack of knowledge". You feebs are being faced with hard data, and you're too busy riding around on your little white horses to realize it. Stop trying to carry yourself like you're better than the rest of us and admit the truth: Bungie over-corrected with the AR nerfing.

Never once have you been honest, never once have you tried to be yourself. Its all for show, that tough guy act is a charade, i could care less if you guys can't handle a little change to a weapon.

Use proper grammar when you speak, what is this, kindergarten? And again, maybe so; but it didn't take me that many rounds to plug someone to death with it; unless they were just bad players. But i'm not trying to say you're wrong, Its just that i've had zero issues with the weapon, people over-exaggerate about the amount of rounds used. I only had to use 11 in one clip to do the job(that's pretty damn quick for a death).

My grammar is off, you say? Let's have a look at one of your gems, shall we? Quote: "; just nobody wants to even try anymore" Problem 1: incorrect use of semicolon Problem 2: sentence fragment Problem 3: lacking comma. Corrected form: "It's just that nobody even wants to try, anymore." Please, little one, give up. One does not simply overuse semicolons and instantly become a grammatical god. And, it's just like you white-horse wannabes to resort to some petty attempt at a personal attack when the facts outweigh your puny arguments. Do see yourself out, lest I simply rid my thread of you on grounds of harassment. Goodbye, petty one. Goodbye.

lol Nobody uses feebs, it's not even a word. Nice try defining what harassment is, it's not when i'm explaining things to you. Its if i kept taunting you and never stopping, or making fun. So here's a school lesson in the definition: Aggressive pressure or intimidation. Not what i'm doing, it was my opinion; i never said you were wrong in any sense of the word.

Your vocabulary is clearly lacking. I do hope those links prove helpful. Have your pick of the two major search engines available.

Sure it is, just like your lack of dignity. Its not about you, learn some humility for once in your life. I have plenty of times and i actually learn from it, apparently you haven't. Its all "Blame the weapon, not the player" bs that needs to be addressed, so i'm not going to stoop to your level and just be the bigger player and leave. Good little boy. xox
