I don't like this, it feels to much like call of duty. I think golden age weapons should be a thing but not... Ewwww, the AK series.

That portion intends to have the weapons modifiable in a variety of ways to accommodate the time period we currently inhabit, in the game. Say, an M416. You can choose to upgrade it for a certain damage type, such as Shock, or Void (At the cost of damage). Otherwise, the damage can be increased (At the cost of damage type). Also, the damage shouldn't be outstanding. Only to a point in which the weapons themselves are very flexible in customization to be on par with "up-to-date" weapons. In reality, the current weapons now are still practically "modern" weapons with different paint, tracer colors, and effects.

You prolonging this pathetic excuse of a fight only justifies my previous notion, the more we bicker and fight it just "try's" to promote this ludicrous thread. Destiny is hundreds of years into the future, weapons like that would have been lost or destroyed centuries ago, you don't see me wielding a 15th century Turkish dueling pistol in battlefield 4 do you?

Also, to counter your point.... The reason you don't "see" that is because those weapons have proven to be ineffective at certain points. There are still many weapons that are very outdated, but are still used for their effectiveness. Hence, the AK series, the .308 round, etc. Oh, hey. Wake up call: 80% of the guns in Destiny are basically modern firearms.
