I'm not a pvp player, I really suck at it, so is there any way to unlock the lighthouse card or am I forever unfairly locked from getting it?

 • It's a PvP only card, and it's not unfair.

 • Yes it is to have a card locked where none pvp players can't get it when it's a story card.

 • If you care about story so much you'd understand why it's a PvP only card. The story from the card plays into the trials of Osiris tournament, which is PvP. If all you care about is the story the card has, you can look it up online.

 • You are completely missing the point. It doesn't give you any bonuses only more depth to the Destiny universe so it shouldn't be locked behind such a stupid requirement, particularly when pvp centric people are the least likely to care? I did look it up on the one friend I know's account and it proved exactly how stupid it is to be a pvp only card. He didn't care at all about it, and even claimed there's nothing at the lighthouse except the chest but just looking at the videos there's so much he walks past and didn't even glance at and he never read the card because he's not interested in the story or the universe. So how is it logical or fair that the people who are more likely to actually care about the content aren't allowed to have it or see it?

 • Your argument is that folks that play PvP alot won't care about it? Have you polled PvP players to find out if most don't care? I play both PvE and PvP and I want to earn it. It's not unfair to put requirements like PvP on some of these.

 • But solid just pvp players that are the majority that will make it there are not going to care the way someone that's solidly a pve player or is partially both may enjoy it. I'm basing that off of the people I know who all they do is play pvp and how none of them think there's anything at the lighthouse other than the reward but when I look at it(mainly a pve player with dabbling in pvp) I see so much to find and so much to see. So much that I will never get to see because trials is a shitty game type.

 • Again, you assume to know what certain game type players value in game. So you suck at PvP and probably won't get that card. That won't keep you from seeing the card online and reading it. Is it the lore that matters to you or the collecting of grimoire? If it's collecting grimoire, work on your PvP skills and earn it. There's nothing unfair about this. You're not entitled to any grimoire with requirements that you haven't earned. Destiny isn't a game of participation trophies for anyone that plays.

 • The lore is what matters but why should I have to access it through a friends account or go to something different than the companion app where I'm reading my cards just because it's a shitty pvp game type? You're also ignoring the lore riches and things they put in places like the light house. It's not just the card though I don't want to have to -blam!-ing Google the card every time I want to reference it when talking about the lore with friends. I should be able to access it easily through the grimour cards section of the app but because it's put behind such a stupid barrier I can't. No other card is locked away like the Osiris cards are.

 •
The lore is what matters...
End of discussion then. Everything else you have to say on th matter is pointless. The lore is available online. Go find it.
... but why should I have to access it through a friends account or go to something different than the companion app where I'm reading my cards ...
Maybe because the app is primarily for tracking progress?
... just because it's a shitty pvp game type?
That's only your opinion. There are lots of players that love this new game type.
You're also ignoring the lore riches and things they put in places like the light house.
Yup. Part of the lore and the story is there are certain places certain guardians cannot go without earning it.
It's not just the card though I don't want to have to -blam!-ing Google the card every time I want to reference it when talking about the lore with friends.
So Google it once and then bookmark it. :p
I should be able to access it easily through the grimour cards section of the app but because it's put behind such a stupid barrier I can't.
Ideally, there'd be a toggle in the app that'd let you see all cards or only those cards you'd earned.
No other card is locked away like the Osiris cards are.
With a few very rare to exceptions, all other cards work exactly like this one.
