I'm pretty positive I remember Auntie Dot telling Noble Team that there was an abnormal amount of Slipspace Anomalies above Reach, actually turning out to be a Covenant fleet.
"Slipspace rupture detected. Slipspace rupture detected. Slipspace rupture detected." Not anomalies.
It may not have a Slipspace drive, but it does still have power and most likely engine thrust if the ship managed to slingshot away from the planet. 20+ years is nothing to the Flood, so while the crew jettisoned themselves out, the Flood assumed direct control of the rest of the ship and suited it to their own ends. Without anyone even knowing of their existence in deep space, its entirely possible they made their rounds and have been causing some trouble. There was and still is nobody out there to stop them as the exact location of the SoF is still unknown to Humanity.
I'm not saying it can't or won't come back to UNSC space. I said that in response to you saying the Spirit making random slipspace jumps could be causing the anomalies. It can't, because it doesn't have a slipspace engine.

I wasn't saying the SoF was making continuous random jumps inciting "deep space anomalies", I was saying that the SoF could be responsible for the "anomalies". Its easily possible the Flood used what was left of the ship to accumulate more biomass and really stir up some trouble. Why else would it be so hush hush? The UNSC was reluctant to let out any info on the Spartans, let alone the greatest threat the galaxy has even known. I didn't state the SoF could make a jump, I was saying that they blindly flew off in a direction away from the Shield World and obviously still had power to the engines to do so. My point was that the Flood controlled ship could be wrecking shit, not the fact that it was slipspace jumping. If it were jumping, it'd already have been located by now, or made an attempt at the galaxy's throat.

  •
I wasn't saying the SoF was making continuous random jumps inciting "deep space anomalies"
"Idk, just a theory but since its so "under the wraps" and not widespread to the general public, it must be a pretty big problem if its in Deep Space and the SoF made a random jump. Slipspace jumps can get mistaken for anomalies" Seems to be what you're saying.

I was talking past tense in the SoF making a jump BEFORE the planet's demise. I was unaware the slip drive was sacrificed to make the planet explode. Don't be an asshat and read every single word so literally. Its still entirely plausible the Spirit is the cause of the disturbances. Thats why you can't argue anything else other than the fact I made a mistake over a game I never played to learn 100% of every plot detail because it was subpar anyways. The crew is gone, the SoF is under Flood control, and theres "deep space anomalies" occuring. Seeing as nobody knows where Shield 0459 even is, its most likely the Flood. To add further,
In March 2558 the freighter, Pilgrims Pride, was carrying several AC-220 Vultures and AV-22 Sparrowhawks that were previously attached to the Spirit of Fire. The Pilgrims Pride launched a surprise attack on the UNSC Infinity and attempted to self-destruct inside the Infinity's bay. The Spartans managed to eject the freighter out of the bay. They also saved the Pilgrims Pride from total destruction by removing its exploding core. After recovering the remains of the attacking Vultures and Sparrowhawks, the crew used the ID numbers on the hulls to identify the ships as belonging to the Spirit of Fire. Confusing matters, the crew discovered that Pilgrims Pride had been constructed only five years earlier.
Judging from this, its entirely possible the Insurrection has control over the SoF, although I doubt its possible for some Rebels to wipe put the Flood if Spartans have issues with it. So lets not play the finger pointing game because I missed one little piece of information.
