They are only a lost cause if you convince yourself they are a lost cause. It is a bad, losing attitude on life and you won't get anywhere with that mindset. "Hey the American government is shitty so let's just let it do whatever because it's a lost cause" ^^^That is part of the reason as to why that mindset slows a world of progression.
