There was plenty of flirting during our other talks, and hanging out, so it wasn't really out of place or awkward..
Without posting our actual conversations I guess it's not in full context; but I picked up on the vibe that we could be more than friends, not that it was explicitly discussed but it was definitely there.
How should I take this? My initial instinct is to just pull back, and reel in my attention towards her; but I don't feel like "losing my progress" so to speak, because if she is/was interested I don't want her to feel like I moved on.
Anyways, thoughts? Ideas? And yes I already know, OP is a fgt.[/quote]

What is this?

My question, what do I do with this situation?

The last line is what was throwing me off. Anyways, just open up and be honest. Ask her why things have changed all of a sudden. Why the change in tone in conversation. She could be interested in someone else or maybe simply having second thoughts. Maybe she is pulling back and reeling back as well? I think when a girl says "I'm a mess" that its a subtle way of trying to ward a guy off, like maybe she's not ready to give herself to someone else just yet.

The OP thing was for my thread, sorry. But yeah I'm still outta town, and figured something like this is better suited for a face to face discussion, so I'll bring it up when I see her next. The mess comment I can see that now that you said it, it makes sense.. And I'm a little bummed I didn't notice it. But I'm just going to ease off until I'm back in town and see if she's free for lunch or something to talk.
