I'm glad someone else noticed the silly scout rifle scout rifle design, that bugged me. and to all the people saying "waaaa it's a sci-fi game blus bluh bluh" the first part of sci fi is short for SCIENCE. obviously destiny is far from realistic in a lot of ways hence the fiction part. but a big allure of the genre is exploring FICTIONAL settings that seen believable. perfect example is mass effect, obviously we're not a part of an intergalactic community fighting off giant near invincible artificial intelligence bent on extermination of organic life, but the setting of that universe is so immaculately thought out that it seems like it's all possible.
