The bible doesn't present fact. Smh. It's an ancient book of stories written by primitive people who didn't know any better. Exactly how can you prove the bible stating "in the beginning God created" as fact? Were you there? Do you have inside information? Does any of this even matter? No. Moving on.

  • Does your comment matter? No. Why? Because there is no counterargument.

  • How can you say that the bible is fiction created by primitive people as a fact? Were you there? Did you have inside information? Nice try though

  • Well if you're allowed to say god doesn't need a cause then why can't I say the Big Bang didn't need one?

...because you claim that the Big Bang was natural in your obviously limited scientific understanding, and we know that everything that is natural has had a cause; therefore, the Big Bang requires a cause. God is neither natural nor unnatural since He Himself is recorded to consist of supernatural characteristics that never required an attribute of himself to exist in time. Your understanding of the Big Bang insists that it required no supernatural activity, but thinking so erases the answer to its even more so possible origin and reverting our entire thinking back to the question of how and why is it here.

  • My obvious limited scientific understanding, lol, you sure got me on that one bud. Science doesn't have to have all the answers (nor does it claim to have all the answers), if it did have all the answers it wouldn't be called science and it would look an awful lot like something we like to call religion. Me not being able to give you a cause for it means absolutely nothing, I am not an astrophysicist nor is my understanding of quantum mechanics great enough to explain to you in the simplest terms why this is all possible. Arguments are easy when all you have to say is that your all-powerful, omniscient god who has always existed and will always exist is responsible for 100% of everything that ever was and will be when you don't have to provide any evidence whatsoever confirming the existence of such an entity. And saying the Bible is evidence is you A) wholeheartedly trusting a 2000 year old game of telephone in which the original text was translated and edited countless times and B) employing circular logic. Good day.

  • Wow, why are you so angry? He has a lot of interesting things to say. But, I guess you're just showing how closed minded you are. http://bible.com/1/2pe.3.5-9.kjv For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Not slack? Hmm. According to the book jesus should have came back in their generation. It's been over 2 thousand years. He also said "i come quickly". 2000+ years isn't quickly. Then the apostles had to explain away why he hasn't come yet because everyone was growing old and dieing. Then finally everyone died and still no sign of jesus. Ya okay. Keep waiting for something that isn't going to happen. By the way, the whole world is never coming to repentance. Never. That's why he had to destroy everything according to the last book right? Lol. And even after that..a thousand years later he still kills everyone. Woooooooow. Some story right? I can't make this shit up.

  • You literally have zero idea what you're talking about. Coming quickly didn't mean the years till he came, it meant he will come in the blink of an eye, just as it's stated elsewhere in the bible. And "this" generation he states while explaining the events that will precede his coming. Meaning that the generation that begins to set the signs he's talking about, this is the generation that will see the end.
