The world will keep on, the earth will still spin, and i'll be dead. Cx
-
No, I mean what will you become, like what will you feel/ do
-
I'll become ashes because I want to be cremated. I wont do or say anything because.i'll be dead xD
-
So you think it will just be like an eternity long sleep, just nothing
-
No, it wont be a sleep because i'll be dead xD
-
I meant like how you can't feel or think or anything?

Edited by IamPluto: 5/31/2015 2:13:02 AM
I meant like how you can't feel or think or anything?
? You can feel and you are thinking when you are asleep. Being dead is not like sleeping at all. For one there is no brain activity and your body has ceased to function completely. It also decays.
maybe I'm taking the comment too literal lol
-
Yes you are lol
-
Lol. I just didn't understand how you were equating death with sleep.
-
A persons existence is entirely in their brain. When that dies, you die. You won't have a way to perceive eternity, so it won't matter. Do you remember anything before you were born? No? Same thing.
-
I know that, I was going somewhere with it
-
Pretty much Dead people dont feel or think xD
-
Lol, how do you keep on going when you think that?
-
Its easy. It doesnt bother me at all.
-
Hmm, death doesn't bother me because I know I'll go somewhere, but why doesn't it bother you?
-
Idk. It just doesn't. I just know it happens to everyone at some point. So, I accepted that and I do the best I can to be happy (:.
-
OK, but why not believe in a religion?
-
It doesn't make sense to me. But, if I could be swayed to be any religion, it would most likely be Buddhism.
-
Hmm well gr8 b8 m8
-
I aprc8 and giv 8/8
-
Because we can somewhat comprehend the idea of death. You may not be able to, no offense. But I know that it is hard to imagine the brain not going on anymore, but what do you think? Our consciousness and awareness comes from our brain. When that dies, we will die. Think of it like how you would think of your life before you were born. Life will go on after we die, so we might as well leave something behind for people to remember us by.
-
But why don't you believe in some religion, so after death you don't have to be nothing
-
Why would I want to lie to myself? It won't matter when I'm dead and I don't care now? Is that the only reason you believe? Just so you aren't afraid? Sounds like a terrible way to live.
-
Pascals Wager, I see what you did there. Here's the thing, there is no black and white. It's not simply afterlife or no afterlife. There is a wide range of different afterlifes, most of which require the faith in a god/deity. What if Islam is right, and I go to Islamic hell for following Christ? What if Hinduism is right, and I don't get reincarnated into a human for not believing in Bhrama? What if Scientology is right? If anything, Christians are putting themselves in almost as much danger as I am for only investing their lives into one religion.
-
I understand that, but isn't having one faith that might be wrong better then having none at all
