This is the new norm. I can tell you sometimes it goes the other way. I joined into a team at Skolas and the guy with the Ghorn quit on me and another guy after a hour or so. We got a new guy and continued to try. Well when the other guy left I got host. One of the original guys got verbally abusive and wanted me to give him host so he could kick us.... He was swiftly booted and reported.

this hasn't happened to me often - but it's just happened to me now and highlights the problem with not having checkpoints in poe - one of the guys on the fireteam had a friend join the party chat and talk a load of crap while we should have been focusing - we were doing quite well but since this guy had come into the chat we seemed to lose focus - i'd muted him so couldn't hear what he was saying after a bit - when i suggested it might be this guy putting us off - i got kicked :( very much annoying - the hours that need to be put in on poe is being a chore - not an enjoyment - and the added pressure of knowing you need to finish in one run otherwise you get nothing sucks ass! the players were sturkieC and KDULS24 - i think it was sturkie was the fireteam leader though (i.e. the guy who kicked me) - the annoying friend was SDhorsley they seemed fine until i got kicked and unfriended :( (all my weapons were 365 incidentally and it was the hunter who seemed to be wiping most often)

PoE seems to be bringing out the worst in the community.

agreed it's unfortunate

a checkpoint system would lessen the blow of incidents like this though - i mean it's not as if people aren't just joining in at skolas cp anyways hopefully bungie looks into some sort of solution
