I agree with you completely... DLC should be additional content, not something that was stripped from the game before release. The worst part about it with Destiny is that the game feels very incomplete. Seeing that areas like the Terminus or things llike our third empty class slot makes me feel defensive as I feel as if I'm being screwed. It would be different if Destiny had an in-depth storyline, a true open world concept, or even just alot of content pre-DLC; but they dont. I've made alot of friends on Destiny and I love the physics of the game, but I won't be buying any future Bungie projects as I've now learned how getting into their games and spennding more money on their DLC makes me feel (bad).

Had you been to the terminus before house of wolves I had and it was far from complete it is so diffrent now kings watch is the same though just with a few new enemies

No no no no, you love the gun play. The physics in Destiny are complete shit.

Claiming it was stripped away before release is just speculation. Yes, we know that some of the areas were on disc at launch...but they were clearly unfinished. There's nothing concretely establishing that TDB or HoW were finished and ready to go prior to release.
