Nope. The optional MM would be used by the majority of people who will then flock to the forum to cry that everything is too hard and eventually the stuff with the automatic mm will get nerfed to stupid levels as Bungie's stats will show that no one is completing content. But before this stuff gets nerfed there will be a mass exodus of lesser skilled players. After the nerfs the greater skilled players will cry that everything is too easy and they will start a mass exodus. At this point Bungie will realize that they need automatic matchmaking for easy content for lesser skilled players and manual matchmaking for hard stuff for the greater skilled players with an in game lfg tool to use for those purposes. Finally the game will pick up sone more users or it could never recover. Fyi this process has been done by games in the past. There is no reason why Bungie cannot learn from their mistakes.
