Just a thought, probably an unpopular one, but maybe as an alternate to matchmaking, they allow exotics to be equipped in every slot when soloing Nightfall, Raids and Prison of Elders.

That is a very good idea. Would change gameplay for the better. Plus even adding a PvP mode where all slots can equip an exotic item. That would a beast of a Mode! They could definitely make a PvE mode where they allow it too for example lv 35 PoE but the only difference would be active modifiers that are enabled once a player or players equips more than 1 exotic piece on either the weapon slots or gear slots. It would make gameplay more interesting. Modifiers maxed depending on number of players on the team.
