Item stacks

I can't be the only one who has had this issue. I just wrote about it on another post. There is a lot more going on item wise with this new DLC. The issue is as follows and it will sound kind of confusing . (So I took a photo with my phone.) So this is by far not the first time this has happened, or will happen either. I have two stacks of heavy ammo right now, a stack of 4 and a stack of 13. If I take a moment to try and use one from my stack of 4 to try and use up that stack and get rid of it, it instead takes one from the stack of 13 instead of the stack of 4. Leaving me with a stack of 4 and a stack of 12. This not work the other way around. I cannot take from the stack of 13 and instead take one from the stack of 4. That just leaves me with a stack of 4 and a stack of 12. Why the system wont just merge these stacks, I have no idea or why it wont simply let me use my stack of 4 so I can get rid of it and free up space. (it only looks this clear because I managed to use or delete a bunch of other stuff so I could use my vault.) This happened with spirit bloom before when I reached a full stack of 200 (max) and started getting a second stack and was up to 25 of it. I tried to delete the smaller stack and instead delete the 25 from the stack of 200. Why wouldn't it let me the delete smaller stack? Why did it just take it from the larger one? I had to delete the large stack and that left me with the smaller stack of 25. But I cannot do this with consumable items. So instead I'm left confusing stacks of BS for consumables. My other character had this issue with both heavy ammo and special ammo. As you can imagine it was the most annoying thing I've ever encountered and I am not even OCD or anything. There's just not enough space to go around. Just throw things between characters using the DIM chrome extension while I play. It makes gameplay unappealing when a large portion of time is spent juggling items around instead of actually playing. (I'm not even talking regular inventory - guns and armor. that doesn't bug me.)

  • Move the stack of four to your vault and take it out again. That should consolidate the stacks. I consider this method a temporary workaround, but with Bungle's track record on bug fixes, it may be our only long term solution.
