They wouldn't put it into the game because it's an always online game. Where is that second person's character coming from? They're not going to let your friend make a character and play for free and they wouldn't allow you to use 2 of your characters at the same time.

  • You can do this crazy thing where you log in to your account on other consoles, kid.

  • Obviously he's talking about having a friend over that doesn't have the game. Who goes to a friend's house to play a game they both have and that is online. The friend can just stay home and play on their console.

  • Because sometimes friends like to "hang out". It's when two or more people spend time in the same physical room

  • People hangout with friends to get experiences they can't get at home. And playing a game that you both have and can play online together is not an experience worth going over to a friend's house. This game was not built or intended for split screen or couch co-op. Plus split screen tends to make games lag and freeze, just look at borderlands the handsome jack collection.

  • They could make a "guest" character that would have all of your stuff, or they would make it to where you had to sign-in to another PSN with another character. (Another Xbox LIVE account for Xbox gamers)

  • That's not fair because they didn't earn any of that stuff and they would need to own a copy in order for them to sign in and play. And I can only see them allowing that if they have a digital copy tied to their account. This is not like halo where the characters are generic and you can just invite a friend to jump in. This game is too much about time investment.

  • I know, but it would only be temporary while they're playing split screen (what is unfair is that they don't get to choose everything they want as their armor or weapons, and they don't get to choose a class. Plus whoever bought the game has the right to share it with whomever they want on split screen mode.). Once split screen is over, they lose everything (unless they had their own PSN or Xbox LIVE). Also, they could just create a character if they didn't already have Destiny.
