No way in hell did Chief maliciously attack the peace summit like that. No way, no how. There is clearly a lot we don't know, but I refuse to believe he would slaughter [i]innocent[/i] people. Now, if they weren't exactly [i]innocent[/i]... perhaps. Maybe something was about to go south with the peace talks. Insurrectionist sabotage? But in that kind of situation wouldn't Chief turn them over to the authorities? I say all this from an outside perspective, of course. A civilian [i]within[/i] the Halo universe seeing footage like Fero's leak would probably be up in arms against the Chief in a heartbeat.
