Sorry to hear about your cat. Losing a pet can be devastating. I remember my German shepherd Boris. (Huge dog, stood on hind legs over 6 feet and weighed about 125 lbs.) one day, when he was around 10, I went out to feed him before going to school. He wasn't by his doghouse, and I looked farther into our yard to see him laying down, struggling for breath. He died about 30 minutes after, but I remember running out to him, cradling his head, then running in to my parents for some kind of help.
Moral of this story: they may be gone, but the memories you made with them will always be there. Just remember to focus on the good memories and funny quirks they had.
