Have you been taken the urn to Xur after completing the Ritual of Sacrifice? He is the one that will actually give you the eyes, then take the urn to eris.

Sorry to say that I won't be able to tell you until next week, I forgot to mention I'm out of town and won't be back until Monday evening. Looks like I'm missing out on Truth too though, but next week I'll be able to tell you.
