DISCLAIMER: Evolution is a very real thing, and nobody is going to prove otherwise here. It's become apparent that most people here who question or doubt evolution do so because they don't fully understand it. I have made this thread to address those misunderstandings and hopefully clear up any uncertainty you may have.
Good deal. I am fairly familiar with the concept of the theory of evolution.
I'd rather not turn this into a debate thread, so please only post if you are willing to accept the answers I give you, or at least take them into consideration.
Sounds a little one sided.
I will not respond to anyone asking for proof of evolution. There's ample proof if you want to go look it up for yourselves. I'm only going to clear up anything you don't understand or address any problems you have with evolution.
Sounds legit for something that has never been directly observed in the written history of man. Correlation is not necessarily causation.
So, if you doubt evolution for what you believe to be a logical reason, not just that you "don't believe" or there's "no proof", post that reason here, and I'll address it.
The theory of evolution is a theory. A concept. Nothing more, nothing less. It is not a law, nor a fact. Taking it as such requires a considerable leap of faith comparable to that of creation.
I expect others will try to answer your questions as well, and I only ask that those people do so respectfully and politely.
I wholly expect the normal flud, in this instance with the standard responses (fossil records, gene variability, migration, etc.). I will address each as time permits.

 •
The theory of evolution is a theory. A concept
dont confuse a scientific theory with "hmm, i think this happens"

 • 1) Good. 2) I'm on the side of fact. I'm not going to pretend I have all the answers, but I can say with a high level of certainty that evolution, including so-called "macro" evolution has occurred with all organisms on this planet. 3) You don't have to directly observe something to see evidence of it. You never see your own face, only its reflection in a mirror or a past version of it in a photograph. You never see the stars themselves, only the light that they produce as they (for lack of a better term) burn, which takes years to get to Earth. 4) Are you really trying to use the "Just a theory" argument? Really? Scientific theories are highly supported by hypotheses. Gravity is a theory. Now, before you go saying "Gravity is a law because [Insert Wikipedia Link] says so", know that the Law of gravity is evidence of the theory of gravity. A scientific law is something that has been repeatedly observed, such as that most solids and liquids fall to the ground when airborne. A theory attempts to explain those things that we know occur, such as the explanation that matter is attracted to other matter, and the level of attraction is related to density and proximity.
