Okay, first things first. The saxophone was made to be a classical instrument Every time one of these "pop" songs throws in a saxophone to be different or cool, it just insults the real masters and meaning of the saxophone. Yes, there is jazz. And jazz is not classical, but saxophone has found a way to truly be integrated to jazz. The players made a sound that was beautiful and never heard before. Saxophone in pop music is not beautiful. It's repetitious and played with horrible tone. Quite revolting actually.

  • So... Every instrument invented before 1900 has no place in pop music? Your opinion is ridiculous.

  • I'm just sayin, it the instrumentation doesn't fit, and it's adaptation involves the use of bad tone and purposefully off key pitches.

  • You say that like it hasn't been done, and done well, before.

  • Really? Well jokes on you, I don't like rap. The problem is that pop music is popular music. (I think) Most pop music just sounds like a bunch of kids crying over their relationship problems. Another thing, have you ever heard music before the Jazz age? No? You should listen to it, its god awful. Doesn't matter when the instrument was made, it just matters what kind of music its being played at.
joke's on you, I don't like rap
I don't think you know how that phrase works.
have you ever heard music before the Jazz age? ... it's god awful.
Uh… Anyways, I don't think you got the point I was making. At all.

  • Uhh, I don't think you knew what I meant. Did you forget your own statement
something something something 1900
You know, I think you have little knowledge of history. In fact, were talking about music before and after the jazz age because thats how this started. Don't act like this is something new. So what did you do? Look on google
Good piano music
and click the first link?

Before and after the jazz age? Nope. We weren't. The guy that posted that first comment mentioned jazz as an exception to the saxaphone having no place in modern pop music (in his opinion), but he never mentioned the jazz age (that's actually the name for a period in history). What he mentioned was classical music. So, when you said "before the jazz age" I assumed that you weren't going off topic (my mistake, I guess), and I directed you to some classical music. And without typing in "piano concerto" or "chopin" into google, try to find the link I sent you. I knew damn well what I was looking for. Just because you don't know anything about it doesn't mean I don't. PS: Whatever the last sentance of your post may have been, I'm arguing with the meat of it and the arguments you presented.

  • kk. I'm obviously a retard little kid who know nothing about music. Sorry for offending your gender. Godwinslaw and whatnot. Tl;dr I don't want to give a -blam!- anymore nor do I want to type anymore words. Because a few little push of buttons is not even worth my time to mess around with you.
