You have that backwards, friend.

No I don't .....

Assuming that probability affects the amount of faith it takes to believe something ( tell me if this isn't logical and why) there is a 50/50 chance that there is no God or there is any form of divine deity of some description. Not going to do the math but believing in a specific religious sect would really hurt your chances of being correct what with the infinite possibilities that could represent a divine entity. So in theory (conceptual not scientific, for once in a religious debate LOL) it takes more faith to believe in a specified religion than no religion and equal faith is needed for both deistic and atheistic beliefs.
-
Not to mention the astronomical odds of actually believing in the "right" deity, considering,
-
Belief or existence of a god isn't mutually exclusive with evolution.
-
Didn't say that .... But, it takes more effort to not believe in God than too believe and have faith.
-
Obviously, because one is note comforting and takes pressure away from the individual, and the other is a harsher reality where you are ultimately responsible for yourself. Everybody wants someone to blame.
-
I take full responsibility for myself and my actions ..... Jesus just offers salvation and helps me realize I'm in need of a savior .... Nobody is to blame for my life but me.
