I play all three characters....and they are all very capable in the Crucible.
You just have to learn what each character's strengths and weakneesses are.
1. As a Titan, you want to keep every fight a GUNFIGHT if possible. Because your melee attack has the shortest reach i the game in the game-----and your supers the shortest RANGE----to offset the power of your other character abilities.
2. Learn how to take advantage of your powerful grenades. For strikers, Flashbangs can be a deadly addition to your gun skills. Throw a flashbang into a room just before you go in, and any enemies will be blind and nearly helpless. Use your lightning grenades to set traps and restrict enemy movement.
3. As a Striker, look for enemies bunched up where youre FoH can get you a quick muliti-kill. As a Defender, think of your Ward of Dawn as "portable cover".....or (if you have Helm of St. 14) a means of restricting enemy movement. Because enemies go blind (just like the Striker's flashbangs) if they enter it. Even if you aren't in it at the moment.
