The solution to nerfing thorn in pvp

Hello everyone! First I want to start by saying absolutely no weapon should be nerfed. I just needed to catch your attention. That said I do have a solution for both sides of this ridiculous controversy over thorn and other exotics. First we know that auto rifles need a buff. All of them, not just suros and especially necrochasm. This will level the playing field in the existing crucible as it is right now. My second solution, the one that's going to cater towards the crybabies, is to introduce a new crucible playlist. Think of barebones in Cod. In this game mode ALL exotics are disabled (including gear as well). The rest of the mechanics can be in place as no one is complaining about those too much. That way if you hate thorn so much, you don't have to see a single one (or any exotic for that matter) in BB. This would actually be a cool game mode because the skill would really show just by using legendaries and blues. I welcome feedback on this idea and what could be done to improve it. Just a suggestion that can make everyone happy. Edit: thanks for replys guys keep em coming!! also it has been pointed out to me that SOME weapons (namely the vex and other fusions) needed recent nerfs. I can agree with that(slightly because i still lack the vex and its one of the few weapons that kick my ass in pvp). fusions probably still need tweaking because only the plug one.1 with rangefinder is a viable option in pvp and thats only one fusion. Plan c is nice though too.

Thorn doesn't need a nerf, it's not that bad as it's made it to be. All weapons were not created equally. That's part of the allure of the game. Each weapon archetype has its own pros and cons. Within each archetype there is a variance to the weapons. This gives a wide possible range of uses. Additionally, some weapons are actually earned in this game. These weapons should be better than the rest, as it is an incentive to earn them. Now, each weapon also has its own counter. Thorn for example is only as skillful as the hands that wield it. It is easily countered with pulse rifles and scouts rifles, meaning mid to long range. In close quarters your fusion and shotguns dominate it, as well as auto rifles. Auto rifles do not need a buff, they are actually quite powerful if you play to their strengths. This means you should be using an auto rifle in more of close quarters areas. Most pulse rifles take 5 shots to the body, and takes longer to kill when doing. If you stopped trying to use an auto rifle like a scout rifle, meaning across the map, you'd be perfectly contempt with its abilities in short ranges. Fusion rifles, I don't have much of an opinion on as I hardly ever have used one, it's not my style. Overall, the weapons are closer to balanced than they have been since launch. If you play to how each archetype was designed, and counter accordingly, there shouldn't be much of an issue. Edit - I forgot to mention, that new game type. That is interesting, but I don't think that viable option to eliminate exotics from being used. Removing supers seems more feasible, instead of trying to block a large portion of content in the game.
