Honestly the bubble titan is the weakest class now its how you use it Bladedancers and goldengun easily destroy that titan... Striker titan all they have to do is hulk smash Void Walker just bomb them Sunsinger run in and melee Bubble titan just run away bc you cant really do anything.... <--- see my point

Blessings of Light + St 14 + invective is what I use for bubble busting. Drop your bubble on theirs and jump straight up and out. They'll leave their armor of light bubble and be easy pickings. Now with No Back Up Plans Y2, it's not hard for a defender Titan to play extremely aggressively.

  • Actually, if I see them coming they rarely kill me when I have my bubble up. A golden gun will break the bubble, sure. But it takes two shots to do it, leaving the third for me, the titan. The thing is that I know this too, and as soon as I see a golden gun active, or see a bolt of solar energy slam into my bubble, I drop what I am doing and bolt out the far side of the bubble. I then run away around a corner to safely. I use the bubble as, well a shield, to buy me the second I need to escape. The bubble is lost, but I usually get away. Now with a bladedancer, it is up to them if they will beat me or not. If they stand outside and hit the bubble with the razor's edge, they will win every time. However, if they try to enter my bubble and beat me head on, they will lose almost every time. -Let me explain. I am no match for a bladedancer beyond my ward. But within it, I have Armor of Light working for me, as well as the Helm of Saint-14. And I am carrying Invective, a full auto shotgun with a final round perk. If the bladedancer tries to beat a Defender directly, the Defender will win every time if he: retreats to the far end of the ward, sights the blade dancer with his shotgun, and opens fire on the guy the instant he enters the ward and goes blind. Invective reliably drops a bladedancer in regular Crucible, and from the opposite end of the ward, its not hard to empty the shotgun into him before he manages to cross the distance and score two hits on you. I know that even while blinded, its not at all difficult for a bladedancer to score hits on a nearby enemy. But all of these factors add up to a good recipe for success against bladedancers. Numerous times, bladedancers come charging into my ward, expecting a free kill. But if I see them coming, nine out of ten times, they are murdered in an instant, and I continue my bubble dance.

  • Yea I know. Doesn't matter. The Invective can be emptied faster than the Bladedancers attack can be swung twice. Trust me, when a Bladedancer enters a Ward, if the Defender has Armor of Light and Invective -and sees him coming- that Bladedancer loses. Nearly every time.

I personally like the bubble titan for PvE only because its nearly useless in PvP due to the fact its underpowered. Plus if I do run PvP I hardly use shotguns on any class I snipe. To me it makes me feel skilled to aim to get kills.

When running as a Defender, yes I use Invective. And yes, I rely on it while within the Ward. Defenders get wrecked in the Crucible more often then not, but a really good one can be a VERY tough nut to crack. The most important thing is knowing where and when to use the ward. It has the unique ability among supers in that it lasts -For a long time. (Nearly a full minute with Bastion equipped) If you drop it in a good location, it can make a massive difference in the tide of a fight. If you drop it in a bad location however, it will get you killed or even completely undercut your team's ability to fight effectively. Anyway, I have enough experience to know where -and often when- to use my Ward. And once I use it, I hate to leave it or it feels like a wasted super. So I stay in the ward unless someone (who's not a bladedancer) comes at me with a super of their own. Invective regens its ammo allowing me to remain in my ward and repel the massive boost in enemy attention that I receive from its glowing-purple-beacon-ness Now I can (very easily), and do punch blind people to death who come into my ward. But when faced with multiple opponents at once, or when staring down a formidable threat I let Invective do the talking.
