Does anyone dislike Halo?
I've been thinking...I have never met someone who hasn't enjoyed Halo. No matter what they play on, they have enjoyed Halo. So my question is, do any of you dislike Halo? Not a game, but as a whole.
Note: By dislike I mean you have never enjoyed a single Halo game.

13 RepliesIt's an over rated FPS that tries to be a competitive MP game while at the same time having a deep campaign but falling flat on all fronts. Every subsequent game has gotten worse and worse.

I really loved the theme and the atmosphere and just the game play. Then halo 2 was the first xbox live game I ever played and that really changed gaming for me. Halo 3 with Forge and customer games was another great thing I hadn't experienced. From there on it was kinda of slow downhill, I like odst but it just didn't offer anything really new besides a new style to tell a story which I did enjoy but just wasn't blow away. Then reach came and the new Forge stuff was so good that's where I spent most of my time honestly. Again the story did something different and the ending was great and I liked everything about the game but it just didn't offer anything new on the scale of the first 3. When 4 came out I just wasn't impressed with all the game play changes I didn't like the faster kill times it just seemed a little to fast paced and less skill based, some of the abilities added a little bit of diversity in game play but reach had those too 4 just expand it. I think the reason I was so in love with the first 3 was that they did thing that I had never experienced in a game before. And as grind as destiny is they kind of captured that newness again. I've played a few mmos and almost every console shooter but I've never play a game where the meshed my favorite parts of both those together and did it for the most part successfully. I put destiny down for a few month and just came back a week ago a d I really has changed enough to where it gives me hope they'll fix all the problems I had with it. Besides the story haha. But yeah I liked halo, not because it was halo because it showed me what games are capable of and innovated in ways I didn't even know I wanted (Forge and custom games)

1 ReplyHow could I! It may sound weird but Halo somehow ... damn ... I can't put in words anymore. That is truly sad. Halo was so important, especially Halo CE. Halo opened the world of story-based video games to me. I will always enjoy Halo (not that 343i-stuff). It had the perfect balance between multiplayer and story. The stories in the Halo-universe were never trivial. They always mattered. There is split-screen coop in Halo and coming together with other players via systemlink or XBL was never easier. You really got me with that question. I know that Halo is super important to me but I can't express why.

3 RepliesI liked Halo: C E when it was brand new, but I think the series as a whole is increasingly inflated and the multiplayer is full of angry kids who haven't found anything else in life to be proud of.

13 RepliesMy friend has never liked [i]any[/i] of the Halo games and thinks the series as a whole is vastly overrated. I also don't like Halo, own an Xbox One and don't own the MCC and will not be getting Halo 5 or any future Halo games.
