Sweet loved DBZ & the ending of GT cause of the shadow dragons they were awesome

The new series is between Z and GT.
-
That doesn't make any sense. Where did you hear that? If so, why wouldn't Super Saiyan God be mentioned ever? Why wouldn't Frieza transform into his new gold form when that portal of Hell or whatever stupid shit opened up and allowed him to fight Goku? Also, Videl's pregnancy and Pan's age are a contradiction. She couldn't be the age she is if Videl was pregnant at the time of Battle of Gods. Can't be true.
-
Toriyama said its after Buu
-
Are you just talking timeline? I assumed you meant it's story would fill in the time between Z and GT. But this series coming out makes GT not even have a possibility of being canon.
-
Yeah, and we really don't j is that yet, that's like saying Silver Age makes New 52 non-canon
-
Akira called it a side story. Chris Sabat said GT isn't canon anymore. Meaning it could've been considered canon before the release of BoG but can't now.
-
Side story of DBZ, not the main thing but the epilogue. Chris Sabat just said he didn't like it
-
It can't follow Z. Since BoG is part of Z (Hence the title: Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods) it makes it non-canon to that storyline. There are too many inconsistencies for it to work. One of the biggest ones being Pan's age and Videl's pregnancy not adding up correctly. Fan made versions can't be considered canon. Akira's only involvement was character design and itty bits of the story.
-
You realize Pan was also in Z right
-
Yes, Battle of Gods apparently took place before she was born. The age given contradicts the timeline. I don't remember all the details but since BoG showed when Videl was pregnant it made Pan a different age during that tournament thing. If you use that age and the age they say she is during GT (which is like 8 or 9) it is inconsistent. I forget where I read this but I really don't care about this argument anymore.
-
I'm pretty sure she was a teenager in GT
-
It depends. There was something about a mistranslation that made the time between Z and GT unclear. It is either 5 years or 10. I'm pretty sure the inconsistency is still relevant. There was something about how there had to be a few years in between each tournament making Pan a few years older when shown in Z. Which made the age given in GT inconsistent. I really don't care anymore. With all the new shit that's gonna happen in DBSuper it's really impossible for GT to follow it. GT is still a fan made series anyway.
-
GT is made by Toei... Not fans.... It will just be a different version.
-
It still wasn't made by Akira. Making it, by definition, non-canon. It has to be made by the original creator to truly be considered "canon".
-
Not necessarily of else everything new is not canon in every series
-
Not necessarily of else everything new is not canon in every series
What?
-
Or else* Toei owns rights to DB, and they made it.
-
They weren't the original writers. That's like saying Gnomeo and Juliet is Shakespeare canon. He had almost no involvement in the creation of GT. It's not canon.
-
He had hardly any involvement in BoG yet you call that canon
-
What are you talking about? He wrote the entire story of the movie.
-
He wrote some dialogue.
-
No, he wrote the entire story. I don't know where you get your information.
-
He even said in an interview that he let the others write things by themselves, he even said if he had more involvement he might make vegeta the main protagonist in the next movie
-
I'd like to see a link.
