  • I hate to tell you this, but we already use them as snipers: the iron sights and hand cannon range is just too powerful, and the impact hits hard even at the farthest range, which technically makes them fast-firing iron sighted sniper rifles which can also be used at closer ranges. I'm a hand cannon guy, and I think their range is too powerful, and makes them too useful, while relegating most scoped weapons to extreme ranges because the loss of peripheral vision isn't worth having a scope for (especially since the aim assist means you don't necessarily have to be spot on to get a headshot, and with lag it makes it difficult to be spot on all the time anyway). If anything, a hand cannon with a scope wouldn't be nearly as useful because you lose the peripheral (and you would need Third Eye unless you're constantly going in and out of ADS). I honestly don't think a hand cannon should hit as hard at the far end of its range (either that or lose accuracy at extreme range), unless it specifically has range perks, because it robs scout rifles and other far-mid range guns of their purpose in PvP. It might not be as much of a problem if there were also scouts, and even sniper rifles with iron sight option, which would make them much more useful at closer range as well as decent at engaging in the far-mid range on par with hand cannons, but as it is, even with Third Eye, scoped in for any length of time is dangerous because you can't see anyone outside your scope (and which makes the sights aren't scoped much more useful the majority of the time). I personally can't stand scopes with extreme zoom, because they make the weapon virtually useless for anything but engaging at the farthest ranges, or if you're really good/lucky, using the scope for ranged fights while hip-firing when the scope becomes inconvenient. At least the option to change sights on a weapon, or flip-up scopes so you can choose whether to use the scope or to iron sight it when ADS would be helpful. I'm in the process right now of moving all my non-Third Eye scoped weapons to my Hunter, who has Knucklehead Radar, because I can't stand losing both radar and peripheral, and I tend to ADS a lot (not a big hip-fire fan because of the loss of accuracy). I might not even hate scopes quite so much if I had more guns rolled with the fast-aim perk, or if you could move a bit faster while ADSed (even with the perk, it feels too slow for me to like it, so I don't generally move around ADSed), but I was never much good at quick-scoping anyway, because I'm a hard-scoper. ;P

  • I mean it will be easier to use as a sniper. Sniping with a handcannon takes skill.

  • I foresee an exotic HC having an integrated scope in the future...
