The men continue forward, while only suffering 11 confirmed casualties, and reach their destination in a few minutes, it being the antimatter reactor that powers the facility. One of the men attaches a matter condenser to the antimatter reactor, and everyone flees into the device.
A time shift affects all of future history. The insurrectionists never arise, the Sol Alliance is never exterminated, the Great Genocide is prevented, but the Empire gains a new ruler...
