Eh...it's more like being cut from a different cloth. If that wasn't the case, mcdonalds would have a huge problem finding employees.

Can you believe they want $15 an hour to flip burgers?!? Sorry you brought up mcdonalds haha or reminded me of this bs

Edited by The Mannikin: 4/22/2015 4:24:43 PMIdk about 15 an hour, but minimum wage should definitely be increased imo, some companies take advantage of cheap labor, and the end result is the workers end up having low moral and they produce an even lower quality of work. On top of that their quality of life will be close to shit so they won't have any desire to come in and do their best work. It's a very few select amount of people who are willing to work hard even though they're being paid inadequately. Over the years the cost of living has increased but the wages haven't increased at the same rate. The Chiefs of these companies are making huge amounts of money vs the smaller Indians..I understand a gap in wages for more educated and skilled assets, but let's be frank, does a ceo really represent the value of 1000 workers? Because that's what their pay consists of some Ceos pay consists of even higher amounts. Many corporations have a growing problem of too many chiefs and not enough indians, and they find themselves constantly trying to figure out why their company is failing on the most basic level....You can't pay your workers the bare minimum and expect the best quality of work. That isn't rocket science. 30 years ago it was okay for people to work at minimum wage, because the dollar had a much higher value back then and there were much more things of value to buy with said dollar. Nowadays the if you work minimum wage chances are you're only going to be able to buy and contribute to other companies that pay their workers minimum wage. Corporate greed is the reason people belive paying fast food workers isn't necessary, but I for 1 am I tired of getting my order -blam!-ed up, I'm also tired of seeing fast food workers deal with ridiculous circumstances while some suit is far removed and has no idea how chaotic the actual restaurant is because of a few decisions they made in a meeting. Like I said 15 an hour across the board isn't necessary, but in different states and cities minimum wage should reflect the cost of living. Maybe closer to the 10-13 wage, again depending on location. Let's not forget that most companies barely ever even give out raises and will find every excuse in the book not to, and will even go as far as training their managers to enforce strict raise requirements that make it near impossible to get a raise without dedicating your life to the conpany, which would be hard to do when you're making the bare minimum.

We were just talking about that at work yesterday lol...it's pure insanity

To anyone in this board that agrees with this, please state your case.

I use to work at McDonald's, for pocket change. I don't see how it should be more than that. It's great money for someone who has parents supporting and you hate asking for money. People need to quit and let the teenagers learn to be independent.
