I think that you might be generalizing a tad, and that you're underestimating people. The vast majority of pot users aren't dangerous people. Also, by restricting the use of marijuana, you're restricting the access to it as medical drug. I think that a better ban would be on smoking, since there are no upsides to a cigarette. Plus cigarettes are actually addictive.

Yea but the thing is smoking is the same with alcohol on banning. Both have been around for so long that it would be hard to stop them. Of course I'd want that but I know it's not going to happen, so better to start somewhere where it is less prevalent. I just don't want mar to be the same as alcohol and cigs, both harms to society that is already ingrained. Has to stop somewhere before everything is legal. Yhea people get addicted to pain killers, so I can see the same for that. Oh and people have told me it should be little few ounces should be legal to everyone... Yhea, but then who regulates how much and someone can take another persons then it just creates more addicts. NO, not everyone will be addicts, but it would create more that's for sure

But marijuana's not an addictive drug as far as I'm told. So a rising tide of addicts is definately not for sure. Also, the reason that smoking hasn't been illegalized on even a state level is because of funding from the cigarette industries, not because of popular demand. If you ban smoking, you won't have a revolt on your hands. You will be put out of office pretty damn quickly though.

... You need to look up some information then. My cousin thought the same and was a advocate until I went to academic specific websites... Information that is published and peer reviewed. (Ebisco host or academic search premiere is good) and I threw enough at him that I got him to stop smoking and change his thoughts on it. Don't go on public sites in your area. Only bad things about those sites is you need an account and it costs..:. But my school funds it for free(well it is part of school fees) Yhea that's another thing. Established drug companies will throw large payouts to keep their businesses. Another reason why they are hard to get rid of. I just don't want to see more of them. Look. In my highschool, I've had the ambulance come for hs kids eating pot brownies. I've had classmates that went to others (like Lincoln heights or Griffith) that also have stories of students getting picked up by ambulance for eating them. Why the hell would I ever want to legalize that
