I'm really not sure if this is related to this thread but here goes. I have grimoire cards for The Last Word and Gjallahorn but I have never owned either weapon. It was my understanding that you unlocked the exotic weapon cards by earning them in drops. Incidentally, I also continue to get unable to download the Vanguard Armory errors repeatedly since day one. Could there be a connection? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any consideration and or feedback.

In the case of Gjallarhorn, The Last Word, and Red Death, however, a series of codes were available on Bungie.net, that unlocked several in game items. Those three exotic weapon grimoire cards, were three of the unlocks. It is therefore possible to have those cards, without ever having had the guns. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12652

Thank you very much. This certainly explains the thing with the grimoire cards as I recall submitting said codes. This answer however doesn't address the Vanguard Armory download issues but I guess I'll address in a different location. Thanks again for you prompt and legitimate explanation.
