2 breakfast sandwiches - $8 bucks
Redbull $3.30
Girls coffee $2
Around $4 bucks in gas driving to work.
Before 9 am i spent $17.30 by default. This is automatic. By the days end I'll be minimum $35 in.
Yet people are complaining they got a bare minimum of 50 hours of entertainment (it will be way more) for $15 bucks? You feel you were OWED a raid? No. I'm sorry to break the news to you, but you aren't OWED anything. In the game, or in life.
Take you're imaginary girlfriend to see a movie, two tickets are $25+ all day...for an hour and a half of entertainment
There's a new mode, that every single one of you whining, babbling, cry babies are completely dismissing before you even know what it is. How bout you shut the -blam!- up, man up, grab your balls and stop being such spoiled little self entitled muts to society.
EDIT. Alot of comment are pouring in with people saying things like "if I ordered a steak and potatoes, but got no steak I'd be pissed". Of course I would, because I ORDERED that. Video games are not -blam!-ing made a la carte. They are made by companies, pre determined, and we buy them. We don't customize them before purchase.
EDIT 2. Did anyone stop to think maybe bungie is delaying the raid so people don't jump head first into it, and actually get to enjoy all the new, hard worked content first? Just a thought.
EDIT 3 my favorite one of all. This thread generated a ton of response, way more than I expected. What I like is that the vast majority of the responses are level headed people who agree. There is hope.
FINAL EDIT - I see a lot people turning this into my "spending habits are flawed" if I knew what I was doing with money I wouldn't buy the game type of thread. I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but spending habits and budgeting are RELATIVE to what you earn. Video games like any other leisure are an EARNED RIGHT. I'm 31 now, and from 18 to about 26 I didn't even own a gaming console. Growing up when I lived home with mommy and daddy and did, because it didn't matter. Once I got priorities in order,in put games down for almost 8 years. Now at 31, I've set myself up with a years of hard work that I can sit back and enjoy my leisures comfortably. If i gamed as much in my 20's as I've been in the past 3 months I probably would have lost my job eventually. $30 a day on misc items may be a lot to some people, and I respect that, nor do I look down on you for it. I happen to do well for myself, not because of luck or having things handed to me...but because I busted my ass and made tons of sacrafices. So no, my 20 to 30 bucks daily wasn't the point of this thread. The point was if you had any respect for work, man hours, and a dollar, you'd understand that 15-20 bucks for the content that you're getting is WELL WORTH IT. Don't give "bungie promised me" bs either. Don't be mad at bungie for believing an unofficial leak.

Bruh when u talk shit in the forums it's everyone vs u, ur obviously going to lose lmao btw not everyone has a JOB because guess what it's rated t for teens so 13 year olds can play this too(I'm 18 if u wanted to know)

2 Breakfast sandwhiches? I'm not a morning muncher I guess :/ What is "Girls coffee?" Is that some type of coffee shop? and $3.30 RedBull! O.o That's expensive...you must got the bigger canned ones $4 driving to work O.o yikes, that's like 30min.-1 hour to get to work? Everything else...meh. I already bought it, I'll play it when it comes out...until then, I'm playing Neverwinter...oh and Child of light is great (free on xb1) XD
You feel you were OWED a raid? No. I'm sorry to break the news to you, but you aren't OWED anything.
It's not an issue of being owed, or entitled to, a new raid. It's an issue with unmet expectations. A very widely shared expectation among the community. An expectation not based on entitlement, but based on an understanding of the dlc content. An understanding that both TDB and HoW would have a new raid. Regardless of how this understanding and expectation came about. Whether it be from the data mined image or otherwise. (side note: wasn't there a mention of 2 raids in the season pass description at some point, I could be mistaken) The expectation was there none the less. And sure, Bungie never officially confirmed a new raid with HoW. But they never denied it either. Until now of course. And all the while, hype was built. Forum posts and YouTube videos were made about the upcoming HoW raid. And people spent money out of excitement and anticipation. I think it's understandable why so many people are angry. Whether they spent money on the dlc already or not. These people aren't getting what they thought they were getting. Plain and simple. I want to point out that I was also very upset when I read there was no raid. I've since overcome that. Even though I was looking forward to a raid. I'm still getting the other stuff. And that new mode could be fun. I'm interested to find out more.

Edited by MaxxaM007: 4/15/2015 5:31:59 PMYou are an idiot, raid should be include in HOW, this is what we paid for ,and now they telling us " sorry " ...WTF ! https://cdn3.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/kKQjezQeFAaltc9ti66dY4ca7a4=/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/3372150/house_of_wolves_details.0.jpg

Half the people complaining spent their parents money on the expansion anyways haha 20$ is expendable and if it's not you should sell your xbox And work on making more money so you can treat yourself to some mutha-blam!-in breakfast sandwiches.
-
So we get a new mode. Horde mode basically. Which is What I have been reading since week -blam!-ing one that "we need a horde mode" "I wish there was a horde mode" So we bitch and complain on these forums about not having a horde mode, then we get one and don't want it? Like a cheap hooker. So how about as a community we don't voice what we want anymore and just let bungie do their thing. Since there will be mass panic over something being put into the game which we asked for in the first place and now don't want. You people make me sick as to how entitled you are.
-
Actually it's mass panic over $80. First the $20 for the expansion pack with no raid and then the double dip of $60 for comet with the raid.
-
Edited by ChiralGear: 4/15/2015 3:49:42 PMIt's £20 in the UK, a lot more than $15.
-
Our dollars are our votes. It is the only leverage we actually have in the consumer-business relationship. People are disappointed there's no raid. This is pretty basic stuff. Has nothing to do with your poor spending habits.
-
You need to relax on the sandwiches.. But I do agree
-
Let's just get this out there. It's not so much that it's 15/20 dollars. It's the principal of paying any amount of money expecting certain things. That being said money is money also. I live in Calgary and it is a very expensive place to live. I make just shy of a 100k a year and let me tell you it's not enough. I make my lunches for work cook at home and still never seem to have enough money left over. So when I spend money on something whether it's 20, 50, 100 or any tangible amount I expect to get what I paid for. Now all in all they never garenteed a raid but it was the common belief that we would be getting one and they let us believe this instead of just letting us know we were getting something else. While I'm disappointed that there's no raid I'm being optimistic that the new stuff can be fantastic. And also just a side note that if I had saved the 20 I could buy more beer. Any money wasted is beer wasted in my books :)
-
Apple and oranges.
-
Thank you for this post. Its annoying how many people think they are entitled to a raid because a data mined picture said there was one.
-
I agree 100% with you it's probably going to be £20 in the uk. But me and the misses went to watch a film last week £9.50 each ticket, plus any extra stuff. Thing is if the film had been crap you can hardly say you're going to sue the film studio for showing good bits in the trailer and then releasing a crap film. Evan tho that's not what bungie have done it's what people are claiming.
-
I didn't even have to read your examples in spending and agree with you. Instead of complaining that a game is without a raid now, we should be complaining about the lack of intelligence within our government or the lack of responsibility within local security functions, etc. #priorities....
-
Edited by MaRTiaN PRieST: 4/15/2015 1:16:44 PMThis DLC does not have 50 hours of content idiot lol. There's less than TDB. I'm dismissing the new mode because if it's a horde mode that's just pathetic on Bungie's part. They really couldn't think of anything more unique to do with they're game that was supposed to change everything? Everyone wants a new game but they just whine when it doesn't have all the same modes as every other shooter lol

Butt bump
-
I love this post. So true.
-
Thank you for this post.

They already stated quite clearly HoW will have no raid. They did say a raid is being worked on for A future release.

Edited by iosappsrock: 4/15/2015 3:03:28 PMJust FYI, not all of us can afford to blow $35.00 a day on random food items. I eat for about $2.00 a day. I'd prefer to save my money for other things. Either way, it's not big deal to me. I doubt I'll even touch HoW cause I'm into Bloodborne ATM.
-
Steak and potatoes sound good to me. Where do I sign up for that?

A lot of these crybabies don't have other expenses and the $15 is their allowance from mommy & daddy
