If that's a 365 Fatebringer that would be the dumbest shit I've seen in a game don't make old content current

You may well require new content to make old content current. We'll have to wait and see.

I think you are the only person that has said that. I get what you are saying and that we don't want to rewrap old stuff and just call it new but the VoG raid loot should definitely have a way of being upgraded. Now people will want to run VoG again especially if the armor will be usable again too.

Answer me Ray have you played any other games with raid gear?

Edited by Raymonator: 4/13/2015 11:44:44 PMYup, played WoW for the first 4-5 years or so. I think it was through the first 2 expansions. Played EQ back in the day too. It's hard to compare them to Destiny though. Those raids were much tougher and loot was much harder to get but you could run them when ever you wanted. You weren't limited to one loot drop per week like in Destiny. Both systems have their pros & cons I guess. Also, in PC MMO games your raid gear would be elite for a very long time and not outdated 3-4 months later like the console DLC cycle goes. It's a delicate balance to upgrade levels and keep people progressing but not make everything they unlock outdated in a short amount of time. If VoG was the only raid for 6-8months then yeah, maybe let that old stuff die out. But it was mostly put to rest once TDB came out 3 months later except for running lamps, arc burns and a few other places.

Yea but I don't see the point in them upgrading old gear that makes current content obsolete and I don't believe that weapon they're showing is Fatebringer

Edited by Raymonator: 4/13/2015 11:51:12 PMI can't confirm the pic at the moment but it's a 300 dmg arc hand cannon which screams Fatebringer to me. How do we know old content will make current obsolete? I think what they are doing is making everything in the game upgradeable to 365 which gives everyone more options for the guns they like and at the same time keeping VoG and CE relevant while we wait for a new raid to be released and in the meantime adding new game types into the mix.
