I support your idea, as a mainly PvP player it seems to me that raids and raid gear get top priority with consistent exotic drops and better legendary gear. Fighting actual people in crucible is harder than fighting npc's. Iron banner should be a route to exotics and the legendaries should be on point with raid gear.
P.S. I've always wanted to try a raid...lol

I've just started Raiding myself, it's actually pretty fun and I usually get most kills! Ha! I do have a bone to pick though, what's wrong with my Legendary Weapons, huh? Get the right reforge and they're better than Raid weapons!

If your good at unorganized and organized PvP then your good at raiding brutha :D, you should definitely give it a go!!! [spoiler] it's much more rewarding raiding with your PvP buddies, and vice versa (ie: PvPing and PvEing with the same groups of people creates conglomerates of excellence hahaha). I have a really tight knit group of friends, followers, and clan mates and we annihilate teams and bosses on the regular. (I know my 23-26 raid completions has had an effect on how many exotics I have, but tbh the only exotics I'm missing are Hawkmoon, Ghjallerhorn, Nechrochasm, and Plan C and honestly I recommend joining or conglomerating with a clan or party of people if your trying truly hunting for the best of the best.
