Reading your comments about the vex it's clear you don't know what your talking about. The vex is super potent now if we forget about the ammo bug which they're going to fix. Might take a while, like every patch they'll release it 2 months too late but what can you do? Anyway, what they need to do is buff horrible exotics (4th horseman, NLB, necrochasm and dragon's breath). Also undo the last nerf to ARs and fix the perk bugs on blackhammer, etc. Those are uncontroversial changes that are necessary. After that PvP and PvE will be fine weapons wise except for one thing: felwinter's lie. It is the only special weapon worth using in PvP and that is not a good PvP environment. They need to find a way to balance it. And no, that next patch is not going to fix it. In fact it will make things worse because felwinter's lie is the special weapon which needs the least amount of ammo.

  • Vex accuracy has been decreased by about 40% on anything past mid range due to the fusion rifle change causing the single bolts to stray dramatically from the red dot in the reticle. On the topic of shotguns, special ammo should be a timed drop like heavy. Any good shotgun in the right hands is just as lethal as fel winter, and your logic that somehow other shotguns somehow use more than 1 shell per shot is quite frankly weird, because I've never seen a shotgun use more than one shell per shot. Ever...

I appreciate the bump and you're definitely entitled to that thought. As far as Vex is concerned, I've never once seen anyone dominate a PvP match with it pre or post nerf/rebuff. I've never once died multiple times to one person and looked at their equipment and seen it. The only two times I ever said what the hell are they using ended up being Pocket Infinity and Plug One. Only 40+ kill game I've ever seen was the Plug One. As far as Felwinter's Lie goes, there are a million more ways to counter it than die to it. Someone may get me with one once or twice early in a match, but they're pretty easy to deal with once you know that's what someone is using. I actually love when people use shotguns like Felwinter's because it's hilarious to watch them charge at you only to eat a face full of fusion rifle or my favorite, a grenade behind and one Coiled Hiss burst to the face. The best is when they corner slide more than once. Not sure why they never expect the round aimed down at their face the second time. Anyway, obviously nothing I write is going to alter your opinion and I stand by what I wrote so let's agree to disagree. Peace.

  • 1- The plural of anecdote isn't data. The vex ttk is better than any weapon at medium range. If you didn't encounter anyone using it effectively it doesn't mean it was not effective. I wasn't aware that the accuracy nerf got applied to the vex though. It goes without saying that they should fix that. 2-Weird, you must be one of the only 3 people in the world still using a fusion rifle. They are bad now and can't compete with half the opposing team running felwinter's lie all the time. Felwinter's lie is broken because, with a perk combo anyone can juste buy their way into (shot package and hammer forged) and its impact putting all other shotguns to shame, you end up with the best one shot range of any shotgun. You can try running a shotgun without those perks against it but you will lose every encounter. When a weapon, not even an exotic, dominates its class so thoroughly that's a problem. Felwinter's lie is just THE PvP special weapon in the game right now and that's a problem.

  • Fusion Rifles are as effective as they ever were and they completely own shotguns. If you can't kill a shotgun user first with one 8 times out of 10, you're doing something wrong.

  • How about putting down a charging Felwinter's Noob with the stranger's rifle? Sweet.

  • Stranger's Rifle has always been awesome in PvP, such a fun weapon. I haven't used it in the Crucible post-patch, mostly because I don't get the satisfaction from using PRs in the crucible that I did pre-patch. I still love my Coiled Hiss, but as I replied elsewhere, it was so much fun and so gratifying being successful with it vs full strength ARs back when everyone said PRs were sh!t. I loved that challenge. It's why I started using Scouts in PvP back when Suros was still Suros. There was nothing like dominating a match with a scout when everyone was calling it Suros Banner. I've barely set foot in the Crucible since the last IB because all the nerfs have taken that challenge and joy out of it.
