Am I the only one that doesn't understand why the Mythoclast isn't a 331 weapon?

Before the Dark Below came out it was said that you wanted the Mythoclast to out perform other exotics (at least by a little bit) because of the difficulty of getting the weapon, so it was buffed up to 323. Then, about a week or two later every exotic in the game had the capability of going up to 331 except the Mythoclast! Don't get me wrong, the Mythoclast is still great even as a 323 attack weapon, but am I the only one wishing it went to 331 like all of the other exotics in the game?

  • The reason is because when The Dark Below release, the raids boss/final monsters were level 32. From the looks of it, and because Bungie at a time noted the importance of the Vex Mythoclast for Crota's End on normal, in 323 - the first two numbers - are like a multiplier. If they match the enemies level, they'll do base damage which helped a lot in the Deathsinger and Crota checkpoints when DLC released. The 3rd number I'm not positive about, but that's why Vex Mythoclast did not receive a buff. It was meant to help you push through Crota's End on normal when the raid first came out.
