Destiny Inside Out - In Depth Pt.2.1

THIS IS PART 2/3 Contents: Part 1 -> Destiny the Hype; a - Shooter or Rpg? b - Weapons and Gear c - Bungie and Activision Part 2.1 -> Destiny the Reality a - The Good bad and Ugly b - Raiding and PvP 2.2 c - Storyline and Characters Part 3 -> Destiny the Complete Story a - The Storyline in my Eyes b - How things should be c - Destiny2? The Hype begins. -------------------------------------------------- Part 2: Destiny the Reality Section A - The Good bad & the Ugly When 2014 brought Destiny to shelves it had a lot of attention from consumers. Activision and Bungie were coming together to make a title that would be unlike anything prior. If you haven't picked up this game yet.. Do it now!! This is a great game worth the money and heres some reasons why. Whether playing a great older console like PS3 or new XBOXOne.. this title is well worth the money and you should get it NOWw The game plays like CoD Meets WoW meets Doom... Fun fast gameplay in exciting worlds with creepy cool aliens. This game is GOOD. It's a well thought out visually stunning exciting game with many avenues to explore from PvP to PvE. It has many strengths and gets better with time. Bungie makes mistakes and is slow to change and often screws up the good things but thats life. Bungie has continues to involve gamers and looks to them for Ideas. This is the Best and Worst game ever.. Just like Rockstar Gaming's GTA5 their are Highs and Low's that leave players feeling lost at times. Even with the "Expansion Pass" this game is good. Better than a "Season Pass", I knew what I was getting 2 expansions for 35$. But hold on to hope Guardian... for their is light in the Dark. As PS3 and older consoles still ROCK this is a well designed game that extends the life of these consoles and give new console owners a game to enjoy thats not rushed in its development. The BAD is that Bungie learns reactively not proactively. Like Rockstar games, Bungie tends to repeat its mistakes.. Rockstar has slow rotating characters and you respawn without a gun in hand.. ugh please. Bungie tends to fix things that shouldn't even have been a problem in the first place and waste resources on stupid things while depriving us certain tangibles... Like a vendor who sells useful item. Destiny is UGLY for certain reasons. You cant skip video scenes that you've seen!? Only 1 Ghost!?! Contacting Destiny servers...... No offline play options.. 3 players in a party not 4... NO VOLUME Control!!! Small things that are like tattered edges on a resume. Some look at Destiny and see disappointment. I think you can only expect so much and this game lives up to the price tag. "Destiny is a must have for any console." 9/10 ---------- Section B - Raiding and PvP "Round 1..... Fight....... Finish HIM!!!" Bungie has tried to take Shooters to a new Level that was previously touched on by BorderLands2. RAIDING: Raiding has become a large part of gaming, from WoW to Destiny. Raids are often thought of as LARGE, LONG, LENGTHLY ordeals... not for impatient people or those faint of heart. Bungie has done well in its efforts to make a game that once at Max Level the grind isn't the worst, however a lot is missing. The limited number of Raid events and Limited gear makes the grind repetitive... 6 man party size is small.. more like a Panty Raid. But the length, graphics, and overall composure of the raids is alright so far... GRANTED the drop in VoG is long and pointless somewhat.. Guess they just wanted to make a different kind of experience... A guidance system other then the little white arrow on the mini map would help. Over all the Raiding is fun but limited like in Borderlands2... Destiny needs multiple events and or wings... like in WoW (World of Warcraft) or the Heists that were recently released in GTA5.... Iron Banner??? Yawwwwnnnn, again diversity is required... give us a few options. Will the Queens event return? Queen of the Fallen?? Event returning soon perhaps?? I like VoG and Crota.. but maybe a lvl 30 and a 32 version with different drops? So I can do VoG and get a 332 Damage Aetheon's.... The Raiding is fun but Limited. PVP: As with Raiding, Destiny makes good strides into a new Genre; Where shooters meet RPG's. The PvP arenas look great and unique, some a bit big but diversity is nice. Many planets and PvP modes to provide options to players. Matches last about 25% longer than i would like. Longer than CoD but shorter than WoW Arenas.... a fairly fun PvP experience with Strengths and Weaknesses. Strengths - Fast paced PvP, runs smooth with multiple weapon options allowing long kill streaks. Well rounded teams with level assist to make it fun and competitive for all levels of player. Great Medal system and point scoring program. Weaknesses - Matches can drag on at times. Cant turn Radar off. Need more secondary ammo!! That lvl 2 just one shotted me!? No independent volume control, teams need to be balanced more.. 12 on 12 better. But lag comes with graphics sooo.. lets just enjoy the smooth PvP experience. Destiny has what you want if your willing to work for your enjoyment and don't want things just handed to you. "Raiding experiences 8.5/10" "PvP experiences 8.5/10" ------- **** Had to break section 3 in half to address subjects fully. For Characters see Section 2.2 in my next post Please continue to enjoy and read the Remainder of my review entitled; #DestinyInsideOut - Part 2 continues in; #DestinyTheRealityPt2 Thanks to all, #PoutineLover of Gods of the Golden Age.
