Why are you against weed?
I am simply curious as to what the more popular reasons are for people who are against the use of cannabis.
So if you are against it, what is your reason?

The other funny thing is that people will almost immediately defend this saying "what does alcohol have to do with weed it's completely different".

I guess I'm not really against it? It's illegal in my state so I'm against it ring used where it's illegal, no sense in me getting in trouble over a plant.

Its objectively less harmful and detrimental to one's health and society than alcohol and nicotine as well as arguably caffeine, antidepressants, Ritalin/adderall, and painkillers. And is not physically addictive unlike all of the above furthemore all it does by being illegal is enrich criminals, promote lawlessness and persecute otherwise innocent citizens.

Especially if it's kept to personal use and like alcohol, cannot be used while in a work environment. Me personally, I enjoy my life and don't need pathetic artificial happiness or an escape from reality. I'm a man, I can face life head on with no crutches. I also don't care to jeopardize my health. Although marijuana is less dangerous than cigarettes because of all the crap the add to them, smoking is always unhealthy on your lungs. Somehow, dumbasses think that weed doesn't hurt you since it doesn't have added crap like cigarettes. They don't even realize that all natural smokable plants like marijuana and tobacco have a tar content when smoked. Marijuana has 4x the tar content on average than cigarettes. It will absolutely contribute to lung cancer. Then again, half the people doing it are too high or stupid to even know that. The rest just don't give a shit about their health in the first place.

Edited by Ham Wallet: 9/24/2015 9:17:06 PMPrimarily because of the damage it causes to adolescent brains is often downplayed by the pot community leading people into a false sense of security, and the medicinal benefits are often erroneousy applied to unresearched pathologies who regularly confuse weed smoking (which is mostly done for THC content) with the current oil and orally consumed cannabinoids shown to have more pronounced medicinal benefits. However Alcohol is legal, and it is just as dangerous and damaging. And i think if supplied in a taxed and controlled manner like Alcohol it could be a safe addition to society. I think that like Alcohol it should be illeigal to drive under the influence of it, and now we have adequate tests to prove that the person tests positive to Cannabis use we could argue for its legalisation as that safety risk is eliminated.

Just against it personally. Only reason it would become a true issue for me is if some way it messes with my life. Other than that by all means smoke weed.
