PSA: If you use The Last Word, you're cheating.
The Last Word is one of the most powerful weapons you can encounter in the Crucible. So powerful, it can kill you in less than a second (That's like a heavy weapon killtime). Often times, it doesn't matter if you get the first shot off; The Last Word user can just turn the battle the around in the blink of an eye without any real effort.
I've been told by multiple users that the eponymous perk the weapon has is actually bugged. The extra precision damage applies not only to hip firing, but aiming down the sights as well. That means that people who use this weapon are exploiting a glitch in the game to their advantage, which means they're cheating.
Look it up. Last time I checked the Xbox Live terms of service, exploiting unintended elements in a game to your advantage constitutes cheating. I'm sure PSN has similar terms. Bungie is no stranger to banning people for this sort of thing; Achronos himself stated back in the Halo 2 days that the use of the button glitches in that game in Matchmaking was cheating and a bannable offense.
I'm sure some of you (probably the people who use the gun) will start calling me names, saying that I suck or am a sore loser, yadda yadda yadda. But it doesn't really matter; the terms are clear. If you use the Last Word in Crucible in that manner, [i]you are technically cheating.[/i] There's no if's, and's, or but's about it. You are cheating.

If there is an error in the perks of TLW they can't ban you for the mechanics of the gun not working as intended, trying to compare that to the br double shot your are referring to from halo 2 isn't even close to the same thing

Dude so you're saying people like me with TLW shouldn't be allowed to look down their sites, idk about you but that sounds kina stupid, also, stop whining, and get one, or show them who's boss and gt better, its not cheating if its in the game, you sound like you're just upset because you're bad, I don't have that perk yet because I got mine today from ROC and I'm loving it for PvE and PvP, but I play PvE mostly and its still awesome. Still, deal with it

I don't normally post on things like this but it's beginning to p me off now. Why moan about weapons being over powered as in real life different weapons will deal different amounts of damage. Some weapons in real life you can get shot and still live then you have other which will kill with on shot.... I guess what I'm trying to say is do the same people moan about op weapons we have in real life??? I think not.... I know some of you will get all bitchy but I don't give a sh it. Hate the player not the game.

2 RepliesUsing the The Last Word is actually a criminal offence. And in other news some of us don't really give a sh*t. The game has much more pressing matters, such as crippling lag in PvP. I say leave the fun exotics overpowered so that they continue to feel... you know... 'exotic'. Play some other shooter if you want balance. Play Halo.

In pretty sure it doesn't actually get the bonus damage all the time but rather an occasional thing. I use it because it's good. Doesn't make me a cheat.

It's like the suros having a HoF when aimed down sight and fired at the exact same time. It's a common bug among all weapons that have those perk categories that doesn't happen often.
