For Those New to The Unknown

It seems like it was just two weeks ago that LooseMoose went through our Clan List and removed those who were inactive to make room for new members. He opened up about 20 slots, and we're close to filling up again! With a new group of Guardians out there I thought I'd throw out a bit of info for you... First off, we are very lucky here to have a really good core group of players who like to play this game. Almost every night of the week we have a group scheduled to pay a visit to Atheon or Crota, beat them bloody and steal their lunch money. As someone new to the group what you will also probably see is that each of these fireteams has a full group of regulars and 3-5 alts to fill out the ranks. This can make getting into a group difficult at times. But what most of these established Unknowns also like to do is put new fireteams together with our newer clanmates, show them what we know, and assist them in integrating into the ranks. Here's how it works...we put a post like this out asking for anyone who is interested in raiding. We then put a raid together that includes 3-4 new folks and several of our experienced guys as sherpas. We start in VoG Regular to assist with any training you may want and to build teamwork between the group. We'll then move on to VoG HM and Crota as the team is ready. Eventually, you end up with a team of your own, folks you have found you get along with and who you enjoy getting in to raids with. We took two of our newer members out on Tuesday and have 3 more scheduled for tonight. For all you new Guardians out there...Welcome to The Unknown! Now lets get down to business, if you are interested in getting into a raid team, post here. Give us your toons levels and what you would like to do...riads, strikes, leveling your toons, we can help with all of it. For raids we ask that you be a bit flexible on the day/time for the first few runs as we need to coordinate a number of schedules to make it work. Once we get your core group together we'll assist you in setting up a day and time that works for your new raid group. So, have at it, let us know what you're wanting to do and we'll see how we can help you out.

 • Hello. I've been playing on and off since day 1, but with four kids and a full time job, it's been pretty slow going for me. I've been a member of the Unknown for a while but have only played with other Dads a couple of times. I'll also have a hard time playing at scheduled times, but will do my best. I've never done any raids and have just started doing Vanguard ROC and weekly's and such. I'm thinking about seeing if I could get a group together of Dads that like me, have never set foot in VoG to be able to experience it completely fresh the way the first fire teams did. Is this completely naive of me? It seems like it would be fun and there's nothing to lose except time (or?) I'm completely prepared to learn the hard way that it's just too difficult and that I'll need to be led through it myself as well, and I want to learn what the veteran raiders are offering up, but just think it would be fun to give it a whirl without even knowing what the Relic or what a sword bearer are ( cause I honestly don't). Thoughts? My PSN is Wilco1975, I'm in Sweden and I've got a mic. I play late nights after 20:00 gmt. I've got a wife that hates that I play and a 2 year old that wakes up sometimes at night that I need to tend to. Sold yet?
