30=same damage as lvl 32 30 raid gear =better than crotas end raid gear

I beg to differ because as a lvl 30 you do the same damage to atheon as a lvl 32 . Also vog raid gear is alot more useful in vog than crotas end gear. There ain't no over soul or sword

Both sets of gear is going to be come increasingly irrelevant by the time HoW drops. Also, didn't the VoG raid gear have a perk exclusive to the gear too?

Yeah the level caps at 30 so your damage doesn't scale with level but weapons with higher damage and armor with higher armor stats will make a different

I would take someone with full vog gear over someone with full crotas end raid gear in vault of glass any day. That slight damage reduction that you get doesn't matter as much as people think

Edited by bnarsty: 4/3/2015 1:00:26 AMA 32 with Crota gear can take much more damage than a 30. It makes a huge difference. Thats about the only difference it makes but it's substantial. There is no upside to using vog gear when armor with much better stats is out there. You are better off using maxed vendor gear than vog gear. Oracle disrupting weapons do make a big difference though

Are you serious bud . There's practically no difference being a lvl 32 or a lvl 30 or lvl 31 in vault of glass other than the perks . And the vog raid armor has alot better perks . You don't have to worry about a oversoul coming up or running faster with the sword

Edited by bnarsty: 4/3/2015 1:13:11 AMThe Defense stat actually is substantial higher and that does come into play. Vog gear caps at 402 and Crota gear at 447. I think you are confused about how scaling works because even though level doesn't matter above 30 the Defense stats do and that's why a 32 can take much more damage in the vault. I will raid with just about anyone but there is no upside to running vault gear in the vault when there is armor with much better stats out there.
