An idea to bring old Raid weapons back up to par!

Edit: Well guys, our dreams and aspirations have finally become a reality. Bungie listened to us and it looks like they may be implementing a similar process to upgrade old Raid Gear to the current light level in HoW! Thank you so much Bungie for caring about us and listening/reading our ideas on the forums. <3 Check out the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqvwtE7O6kY Hey guys and @Bungie , So ive been juggling this idea for a while now and wanted to see what you guys all thought about it. So we all love the old raid weapons from the Vault of Glass. Not only that but alot of the new raid weapons from Crotas End are really cool too. So when the next DLC (House of Wolves) drops we know that these weapons will become outdated in PvE. The Vault of Glass weapons will become much worse in their damage output in comparison to now, and the Crotas End weapons will become comparable to what the VOG weapons are now. This kinda stinks, ALOT. So ive been thinking of not only a creative way to bring these weapons into the next expansions AND an easy way for Bungie to implement it. I call it "Overpower Light Level"
Now i know all you Borderlands 2 fans are going to call me out on the whole Overpower level thing, but hey, it sounds good and it works!
So simply put, Old Raid weapons will have the option of becoming "Overpowered" once they have been maxed out. This will only increase their Number damage (Ex Fatebringer damage goes from 300 - 331). This is an option that you may exercise by talking to Banshee-44 in the tower. He will take Motes of light and use them to upgrade your weapons. It may take a few upgrades in order to achieve the full damage level but you can get there. You can see what tier your weapons are at and then how many upgrades it takes to get them to the next Weapon Light level by inspecting your weapon. Thanks for reading! I hope this gets around enough that Bungie might be able to use it in some way, shape or form.

 • Yeah, I understand Vault of Glass weapons were better overall in comparison to Crota's End weapons, but if you do it for those then it's going to be requested each tier and that defeats the purpose. It doesn't allow them to reuse old perks or bring something back in the future if you've already had them and it's just not a good design for this game. It's sad yes, because I love my Fatebringer, but I'm sure there's going to be weapons that will become ones new favorite. But with that remember, outside of raids, those weapons are still as powerful while you're on patrol or doing any of the content that isn't part of the DLC because of the scaling. Obviously it's not the case if you're a bit lower in level or doing a higher strike, but there's many ways for you to still have fun with them.
