Can some one please explain halo 4s ending to me. I know it's late but i haven't the slightest clue what i was watching or what that bad guy was saying. I felt like they did a poor job of explaining what was going on.
I don't even know who the bad guy was (what race) and feel like maybe i would understand more if 343 spent more time fleshing out the story rather than Cortana

The planet they were on was a forerunner shield world which essentially uses a stationary slipspace field to preserve everything inside of it. The villain is the didact a forerunner preserved in this shield world. He is pretty much a war criminal of the forerunners who wants to take over the universe. When the chief sets off the nuke to kill him Cortana uses the final parts of her that aren't currupting to aces the teleportation network and teleport the chief away from the explosion to say goodbye to the chief with her remaining sane processes. That's pretty much it I'd play the story agaib to get more in depth.

Um. How do you not know who he was? He even said who he was. He was a Forerunner.

It has a lot to do with expanded universe like the books. The main villain is the didact, a forerunner, the race that built the halos and used them to initiate mass genocide when they were overrun by the flood. Pretty sure it says that in the game plenty of times, and the didact was in the Halo 3 terminals.

Edited by MRKetch11: 4/1/2015 5:38:11 PMIf you have no idea who the enemy was or his race you didn't pay any attention. Also the ending if you again payed attention you would have know cortana was in the ship and bent the light bridge you were standing in around you so you didn't die from the nuke and to say good bye. Halo 4 had the best story imo
