Too many people, critics included, bought into hype and speculation. They let preconceived notions of what this game was, in their minds, going to be, influence their opinion on the final product.
While it's not perfect, Destiny is an impressive title with outstanding mechanics. It's only gotten bigger and better since launch. I'm excited to see the evolution of the franchise.

I missed the hype(idk how) but bought it day 1 cuz microsoft was giving out a free game with an xbone and people were already lining up for it. I played the story and was underwhelmed but immediately fell in love with the strikez, then later the raids. I like upgrading all the exotics so i can try out their perkz too

Yeah a lot of people say that are excited for the future of Destiny not the current destiny.

I play every day. I'm happy with the game. I think that by the time D2 launches, this title will have evolved well past where it is now, which is well past where it was in September.
