What the -blam!-!? I've never seen this before... HOW?!
I know how to get on the beam but how in the flying -blam!- did you hover over to the vault?

Once you get to the final spot on the blue bars just sprint jump and tap "A" repeatedly. Your character will fall to the ground as soon as you're done hitting the "A" button.
