(Warning: plot details below). [spoiler]The Nectar is the blood of the Mother, which possessed me and tries to get me to spread it. Offering others the nectar is basically trying to extend the rule of that which possessed me. It offers massive power, because it's part of the dark Mother, but comes at the cost of losing self control.[/spoiler]
