12 RepliesChief is 6 years old when kidnapped by Halsey, a 12 year old John knocks out kids 5 years older than him in a boxing ring before vanishing. 6 year gap with the reporter during these weekly recordings stating John was registered as "deceased" at 6. What the fudge... They've basically made us rethink the old lore, revisit it. It wasn't a simple swap of a clone for John and have the clone fall ill and die to cover tracks, somehow "John" was boxing in a ring at 12 when all the while the real John was training with the other kids with Mednez. It seems ONI has been playing Halsey this whole time. But for what?

After calming down a great deal, I find myself very fascinated with the Chief's trailer, especially the first half. Up until the point that Locke is explicitly shown, all we see is Master Chief walking towards his tattered statue. This makes his speech seem to be not only directed towards Locke, but also at himself. He's asking himself whether or not everything he's done: the loss of Cortana, going AWOL, and whatever else happens between then and now was worth whatever end he hopes to achieve. More clearly, he is asking Locke if what he and ONI have done to track him down were really worth what appears to be the destruction of a city (at the very least) and crippling the most advanced warship in the UNSC fleet. Really, this one trailer say a lot. [spoiler]But what happened to Blue Team after Escalation?[/spoiler]

3 RepliesTheory Chief gets kidnapped at 5 and his clone is then sent out Chief goes through spartan training and as a result his imprinting doesn't root like it's supposed. His clone however doesn't and instead they take root and he lives through his programmed death. Clones becomes very much like the ISO didact and his violence and enhanced strength start showing He goes through the normal imprint changes as such he gets bigger and stronger than a kid his age should. Insurrectionists show up, they see this kid is strong and smart as hell. They recruit him. Due to the ISO didact imprinting he develops almost parallel to spartan chief. Now years later chief goes missing and he steps in to replace him. The people that were talking to Halsey in the beginning of halo 4 were really trying to replace him, but needed to know if stripping his personality was necessary for his great abilities. As such they never did, they just gave him spartan training and stuff, chief comes back but leaves again to find cortana. Clone chief, let's out the ISO didact in him and betrays humanity. Locke is charged with going after him but goes after the wrong chief.

Loved the interviews (Deon's remark about the kids fighting to be king of halfway up the hill was amusing), and very cool reference to Starry Night. Started off light, then got progressively darker, and more intriguing. And those trailers...

I noticed discrepancies, but didn't quite realise the interviewees were ONI plants - well, Deon, at least (and he sounded so nice). I need to listen to it once more. Gonna binge listen to all the episodes, when it finishes. Probably the evening before Microsoft's E3 conference.
