I don't see how trading broke an MMO before or even Borderlands, so please try again and learn what feature will actually break the game.
-
Enlighten us as to how it would "break the game"? Most mmorpgs have a trade system/ auction house where you can sell in wanted gear. Now, before you give me some half-assed answer like "well then you could just buy the raid gear... Most games with raids/ flashpoints/ dungeons/ what have you have made it so you can't sell that armour by making it "bind on pickup"
-
D3 Auction house. That's how
-
What crob2 said... It breaks the game because it defeats the purpose people play this game for. They want us playing longer to find our drops. Plain and simple. As soon as you can just buy stuff, game = broken. Pretty simple man
-
Again, many other games have a trade system. They still have a large player base. Raid gear and exotics would more than likely be bop, but there is no excuse not to make materials or vendor gear tradeable.
-
Nothing on this game should be up for trade it doesn't make any sense at all I can't find one valid reason to support that claim...destiny was designed unlike any other mmo to draw time off each user by all means possible...
-
Ok, let me put it like this, say they do implement a trade system or make it so you can buy shit off other players... Your biggest worry is that it removes the need to grind, correct? There will still be a need to grind no matter what (unless they muck it up and make everything tradeable). Think, say you trade shards for energies, because you want to upgrade something, eventually new items will come out... You'll get something that needs shards to upgrade. All of the sudden you now need to grind again. There are ways to implement a trade system while still retaining the need to grind.
-
And I'm that guy that has roughly 1000hrs and no ghorn or vex so trading could save me another month of grinding but destiny would rather me suffer without but the moment one of u lucky guys would offer a vex or ghorn I wouldn't play as much. And would neeeeeevvvvveeeer do another hard Vog.
-
See, that's why I'd love to have a trade system, there are still other areas to grind ( I personally enjoy grinding faction levels) but then you also can potentially eliminate the massive headache of constantly trying to get a particular weapon and constantly watching the shittiest player in the group get it
-
Well OK that's acceptable I'll give you that well put.
-
Again.... Adopting a "pay to win" gear buying system for a game that isnt like other games in that its entirely gear based, would break it. If you cant understand that then thats too bad.. And youre not too bright

Again, there are ways of doing it without breaking the game. But considering that you, yourself aren't that bright... I'm going to stop beating my head against the wall that is this conversation.
-
Im a hell of a lot brighter than you. You dont seem to understand that trading would eliminate the need for grinding and hence novody would play. Shards and energies? hahhahaha i have 300+ of that crap. Once you raid once on each character theres your grind per week? Thats not grinding. Youre making no sense
-
Because retard we wouldn't have to play it as much in order to get the things wanted or needed.....destiny wants to exhaust as much time as possible out of each user and trading contradicts that concept.
-
Well said
-
Also, learn the difference between there and they're before you call someone a retard.
-
Well at least ur good with grammar..lol
-
That doesn't break the game, you -blam!-. If other MMOs have it and still maintain a player base, this can too
-
How would it break the game?
-
More importantly no one would play it because you've obtained all the game has to offer.
-
There never going to implement that.
