Bud loot drops are random there's nothing you can do to change them. Don't worry about Monte Carlo or Hawkmoon they're not going anywhere. Also exotic weapons don't increase your Grimoire score.

Exotics do increase grimoire score. +5 each exotic card you get. You unlock it once you get the weapon

Look at the bottom left hand corner of each card. Notice how on exotic weapon cards there's no +5 tha at means they don't contribute to your score.
