I earned my Red Death "scrubs"
Yeah, no hand outs here. I actually earned my Red Death.
I earned it because I had to grind the weekly multiple times every week, and bore myself to tears in an attempt to get coins. I also had to grind out the hours of the days, weeks, and months anxiously awaiting Xur to have red death again.
So if you think that's less of a grind than getting lucky on the roll of a rng die, congrats, you are what's wrong with this game.

I had to do the same thing I had to stay up all night Friday farming roc strikes for days to get coins. I got it and bought it Saturday morn it was a grind but worth it. :)

I earned mine the same way. I only had one character the second time he sold it and that was the first time I did a nightfall or weekly. I bought it Friday morning and had it maxed out by Saturday night. It really is a straight up beast, especially in pvp. I either use red death or Hawkmoon in the crucible, and I was surprised at the little number of RD that I was playing against or with on my teams.

3 RepliesDoing three characters through the weekly heroics, nightfalls and random luck coins got me to where i could afford the warlock gloves, knucklehead and red death all in one week. But regardless, I'm happy to get my red death! I'm liking it so far, but it'll take at lest a couple more weeks of using it to fully understand what its true capabilities are.

Yep, bought my Red Death this week. Have been rotating it around all three of my characters to bounty it up the last few days. It took a LOT longer to build up the coins for that, than it did for me to get my GHorn from RNGesus via a legendary engram, or the Truth that I got from a gorgon chest that I didn't kill a single mob to get to. The people that think the only "true" way to get stuff, is by RNGesus at the end of a raid, are complete idiots.

I didn't know I wanted red death til xur sold it again. I bought and like it a lot and haven't even unlocked the main perk yet.

You know the funny thing is, That was back in October. Since then I haven't gotten lucky from the RNG, no exotics no nothing! Other then a few xur purchases. I haven't gotten a single exotic, Up untill the beginning of this month. Wow this month was super lucky for me! The first week of March I got the Mida Multi tool from the crucible. A few days later i got the ThunderLord from an engram. At the end of the week I got the 4th Horseman from the nightfall. Then got The Super Good Advice bounty. Then I got 2 suros from crota on the same play through! One from the 1st chest then the other from the 6th chest. Then a day or so later I got Plan C from the ROC strikes And just today I got the Heart of the Praxic Fire from an engram. Belive it or not this was a super lucky week for me. Haha so Idk if the RNG hates me or gives me special treatment lololololol I don't expect to see another exotic engram untill Destiny 2 haha

5 RepliesOkay weeklys aren't hard by any means. No one really earns the exotics in this game regardless of how you get it. I got mine from Crota and I could've bought another red death but I didn't see a need to. Just because you "grinded" to get the coins doesn't mean you earned it by any means

I earned mine off a lv 26 trash mob acolyte on phogoth. Legendary engram. It was brutal but I earned it.

3 RepliesI did a night fall and weekly heroic and had enough to buy it, that's earning, you justs like evryone else had it drop out of pure rng, you could ten hundred strikes or five and the chances are the same buddy
